I: Covid alert level reduced to 4 The four Chief Medical Officers for the UK have announced that the number of people going to hospital has reduced so there is no longer a risk of the NHS being overwhelmed. The Covid Alert Level has been reduced to 4.   Restrictions remain in place until the Roadmap out of Lockdown begins – see below.  II: ‘The roadmap out of lockdown’    The roadmap out of lockdown was published on Monday.   Restrictions will be lifted in 4 stages (stage 1 is in two parts), commencing 8th March and finishing 21st June.  Each stage will only be implemented if 4 tests are satisfied:  Test 1 The vaccination programme is on schedule Test 2 Hospitalisations and deaths are reduced Test 3 The NHS…

Covid-19 statistics update: Of the deaths registered in Week 29, 295 mentioned “novel coronavirus (COVID-19)”, the lowest number of deaths involving COVID-19 in the last 17 weeks, accounting for 3.3% of all deaths in England and Wales.As of 9am on 30 July, there have been 15,738,735 tests (either processed or sent out) in the UK. Of these, 11,515,652 tests were processed in total.302,301 people have tested positive for coronavirusAs of Thursday 30 July 2020 at 6:49pm, of those tested positive for coronavirus in the UK, 45,999 have died across all settings.5222 total cases in Birmingham, approximately 458 per 100,000 people.
