Tuesday Social Club

Second Tuesday of each month

While it’s easy to assume that isolation only affects the elderly and disabled, it has been recognised that it can start to take a hold on people in their 50s as they are forced to reduce their work hours or even give up work altogether to carry out caring duties. They lose their work and social connections, and their world can seem to shrink as a result. The social club aims to provide opportunities for people to stay connected, to stay sharp (keep learning) and to keep physically active.  These are all essential ingredients to living happy, healthy, independent lives.

The club provides a variety of activities ranging from arts & crafts to walks and day trips.  Previous activities have ranged from visits to Poli Nations (Birmingham Commonwealth Games pop-up tropical garden), to making ceramic tea coasters and drawing still life.  Tuesday Club is led by paid staff with volunteers supporting.

Fees: £1 Carers with CCC-B membership; £2 CCC-B members, £3 Non-members. £1 participants of Fit4All (same day in the morning). Participants cover own food, transport and entrance fees incurred for any outings. Pre-booking required. Please see our Events Calendar for more details

Karaoke

Come and show us your singing skills. You’re guaranteed to have a great time with our karaoke club.  Held weekly, it’s a great way to meet people, belt out the songs you love, and is a great de-stressor. It’s also a good way to boost self-esteem and confidence, make new friends and build social connections.
