DESCRIPTION:CCC-B Strollers \nOur walking group has returned with a new name – CCC-B Strollers. CCC-B Strollers will meet once a month during Spring-Autumn for walks & activities around the region. Staff member Kate will be leading the Strollers as a volunteer. \nKate has lived in Birmingham and Sandwell since 1981. She is interested in the industrial history of the region and enjoys walking along the canals that have shaped its geography. \nWalks will usually be the first Saturday of the month; in the event of inclement weather\, we will visit an indoor place of interest instead. \nGrid project \nStrollers will doing a photography ‘grid’ project. We will take photos of the new apartment block being constructed on the corner of Alcester Street/Bradford Street at the start of each walk. Taking photographs on a regular basis helps us record changes in our area. \nNext walk: Saturday 8th July – Fruit picking at Caldicott Nursery\, Widney Manor\, Solihull. Meet at CCC-B at 10am. After taking our Grid photographs\, we will take the train from Moor Street station to Widney Manor. \nCosts: Strollers is for CCC-B Members only. There is a small charge £1/walk to cover our administration costs. In addition\, you will need to pay for the fruit you pick.  \nPlaces currently limited to 12 therefore pre-booking required.
